Project Background

This client built an app that connects customers with street vendors using geolocation technology which allows the app to display a map populated with vendor locations, allowing users to see which vendors are nearby.

The goal was to:

  • Write the website copy to drive traffic to an app

  • Thoroughly explain how the app works for two separate audiences

  • Explain the key benefits for both audiences

  • Explain how the app leverages GPS capabilities in users' smartphones to determine real-time location for street food vendors.

  • Create awareness about the challenges that street vendors face on the streets, such as limited visibility and customer reach

  • Explain the key features of the app

  • Explain the benefits of using the app to both audiences

  • Write two blog posts for SEO purposes

Creative Process

My creative process began by reworking my client's notes to help me convey a key messaging strategy that explained the reasoning behind the creation of this app. 

 Furthermore, I was tasked with the role of explaining how the geolocation feature supports push notifications, alerting users when they are near a vendor offering items or services that match their interests, and how the app serves as the bridge between hungry customers and vendors.

To make this happen, I started by understanding the target audience - street vendors and customers. I wanted to create content that would resonate with two very different groups and highlight each party's benefits of using the app while maintaining a cohesive and unified message.

Next, I brainstormed to come up with catchy taglines and slogans that would appeal to both groups.

Once I had a clear direction for the content, I started drafting the copy. I made sure to use language that resonated with both audiences and highlighted how the app could help them connect more easily. 

For street vendors, our focus was on highlighting how the app could help them expand their customer base and increase sales. With the app, vendors could easily promote their products, offer special deals and discounts, and stay connected with loyal customers.

On the other hand for app users, I concentrated on demonstrating how the app operates and how they can effortlessly access their favorite mouth-watering foods through my client's free app and point out how this innovative app employs geo-location technology to provide real-time updates on every street food vendor, offering a unique experience that has never been done before.

Additionally, I crafted the copy for flyers to complement their website content.

Blog Post

I crafted two blog posts for the client to enhance the website's organic SEO ranking. As a result, the site appeared on Google's results page. 

I used targeted keywords to improve organic search rankings and drive more traffic to a website. By strategically incorporating these keywords into the blog posts, we were able to increase the site's visibility on search engines.
