Project Overview

Project Overview for Calisto Unlimited: This direct-to-consumer (D2C) e-commerce store offers a curated selection of stationery, home goods, and more.

The goal was to develop a detailed customer avatar and establish a distinctive brand voice. Built on this foundation, craft engaging copy for product categories and descriptions, including a welcome email sequence with follow-ups and abandoned cart emails. Additionally, I wrote compelling ad copy for Google Ads and paid social media campaigns on Facebook and Instagram, all while maintaining the brand's unique personality and tone.

Conduct extensive research on the brand's target audience based on a few principles that were used to define the ideal customer through a lookalike audience. This allowed me to understand their demographics, interests, and behaviors in detail. From there, I created a customer avatar that represented the brand's ideal customer.

Responsible for crafting the copy from concept to completion, which involved developing the brand voice and tone and establishing brand voice guidelines to ensure consistency across all platforms.

Writing the entire website copy, Home page copy, product page descriptions, and product descriptions for every retail item. Additionally, write email copy, social media content, and ads for both paid social media and Google ad campaigns.

Creative Process

The project for Calisto Unlimited began by identifying the target audience and creating a detailed customer avatar. This helped me understand the needs and preferences of potential customers, allowing me to tailor the content specifically to their interests.

With this information in mind, I developed a distinct brand voice for Calisto Unlimited. This included determining the tone and style of writing that would best represent the brand's identity and appeal to its target audience.

I wanted to convey a fun, playful, and engaging, message to match the whimsical aesthetics of the brand to the copy I wrote, when you are speaking to consumers, the tone of voice is crucial in establishing a connection and building trust with your target audience.

Next, I crafted engaging copy for each product category on the e-commerce store. This involved researching the products thoroughly to accurately describe their features and benefits in a way that would entice customers to make a purchase. In addition, I wrote compelling descriptions for each product, highlighting its unique qualities and showcasing its potential uses.

The copy included keyword research for SEO purposes. By incorporating relevant keywords into the product descriptions, I was able to improve the store's search engine ranking and drive more organic traffic.

I also wrote persuasive calls to action throughout the website, encouraging customers to click on products, add items to their cart, and complete the checkout process.
